About This Destination

Spanning over 4.4 million hectares across southwestern Cambodia, the Cardamom Mountain Range is one of Southeast Asia's largest unbroken rainforest wildernesses. Treks through the Cardamoms push deep into unlogged primary rainforest, crossing crystal-clear mountain streams and steep granite ridges rising up to 1,500 meters. The wilderness is a critical sanctuary for endangered Asian elephants, cloud leopards, and sun bears. Expedition routes require multi-day wilderness hammock camping and are guided by forest rangers who work tirelessly to protect the canopy from illegal logging.

My Experience in the Cardamom Mountains 🌿⛰️

"I have explored the Cardamom Mountains many times, trekking through different landscapes across Kampong Speu, Koh Kong, and Pursat, from dense forests and mountains to waterfalls, grasslands, rivers, viewpoints, and hidden destinations. One journey I will always remember is my 250 km trek across the Cardamoms. It took me through deep forests, mountains, rivers, waterfalls, grasslands, and breathtaking viewpoints, with every part of the journey offering a completely different view. After returning again and again, I have realized that the beauty of the Cardamoms is not found in just one destination. It is in the entire journey, the untouched nature, the unexpected discoveries, and the incredible views along the way. Every time I return, I feel there is still something new waiting to be discovered. The Cardamom Mountains are more than a destination for me.
